Created in September 1946 by Raymond Leblanc, Tintin magazine would have been 70 years old this year. To celebrate this anniversary, publishers Le Lombard have created an exceptional book in partnership with Éditions Moulinsart. The book is no less than 777 pages long, including more than 600 pages of comic strips accompanied by a chronological retrospective of Tintin Magazine written by Philippe Goddin. Herge's work takes up more than 70 pages, including legendary cover illustrations, drawings created for the magazine, and numerous other contributions. The second part of the work is made up of short stories by the biggest authors at the magazine – Jacobs, Cuvelier, Graton, Hermann, Vance, Pratt, Rosinski and others – many of which were never re-published. From Adler to Yakari, more than 100 comic strip heroes and characters are found within the pages of this book; from Aidans to Weinberg, more than 80 authors are also represented! This is a unique way for Le Lombard to celebrate 70 years in comic strips. The story of the publisher and of Tintin magazine, is also the story of generations of readers. The deluxe edition is printed on special high-quality paper and comes in a presentation box with a numbered extra plate
